Conceptual design of the Bank

Every major corporation wants to have its own representative building that will improve and create the image of an important institution in society. As the concept of corporate image and representation, building Piraeus Bank is closer to marketing and real estate of architecture, and in this case the biggest challenges of the project was to classic banks look get an arhitectural meaning.

The building is trying to avoid the requirements of the standard bank identity through a simple and formal gestures and to have more complex architectural approach. Located on the riversside of Nisava river, specifically bounded by the streets "Kej 29. decembar" and the "Lola Ribar" street. The main entrance of the Bank is located on the south side and leads users to a large area in the center of the bank where the counter hall is.


The building consists of a large spaces, as the inner atrium and the exterior part of the roof of the building. In all parts of the world, the best and most enduring architectural works are those that occur inspired by their surroundings, as well as its natural work. The main role of inspiration on this project is water, due to the proximity of the Nisava river, which shapes the position and life of this city. The massive construction of bank and characteristic twisting facade become part of the element which the building takes its shape and marks its facilities. While the building defines its attitude towards important urban vectors and monuments, and creates contrasts public spaces, the building becomes essentially urban.


The Bank Building has basement, ground floor, six floors and attic. In the middle of the building there are two atriums. The facade is a double-coated glass quality. The role is to prevent the noise, but also to make another setting. Representative exterior of the facility suggests a luxurious interior design and all of the building equipment.
